Regarding Making Audiounit on Mac
#6826 > As I understand, for the latest Synthedit 1.4, if I want to make an audiounit and I use third party modules, I need to have Mac version for the 3rd Party modules (Which I do not think it exists) right? Hi Yichi, I’ve updated the FAQ a little to make it more clear. http://synthedit.com/downloads/making-mac-plugins/ IMPORTANT: A Mac plugin MUST use Mac-specific modules (SEMs). SynthEdit will automatically choose the right type of module, but to use a module in a Mac plugin please ensure that you have installed not only the Windows version, but also the Mac version. You install 3rd-party Mac modules in: C:Program FilesCommon FilesSynthEditmodules_mac Free zip for mac miller npr music. SynthEdit ships with Mac versions of most standard modules. You don’t need to take any action to get these. These are stored in: C:Program FilesSynthEdit 1.4mac_assetsmodules Not all 3rd-party modules are available in Mac format, it depends on the individual developer. Some may not have access to a Mac. 10 mb games free for pc. Synthedit For Mac
#5928 The latest update looked promising but at my first test (mojave and catalina) the component does not get detected at all. i tried different daw's like logic, reaper, studio one, ableton. |
#5936 tried build 481, components are working again. Still not working: recalling AU state (without saving presets).. in other words recall AU state after saving and opening a song as described in allready open topic. |

#5940 checked the saved logic files. what is happening is this: the plugin id is ok now! so that is fixed. what is going wrong the default values are saved in the file and not the last state of the knob values. other daw's on mac are working ok. apple's own apps do not write the values right. problem first reported about plugin id is ok now. thanks jeff, it is making progress. if you can tacle the problem about saving the default values it is solved. |
#5967 https://developer.apple.com/library/archive/technotes/tn2157/_index.html maybe this could be of help. apple is handling recalling a plugin state different then recalling a preset state. |
#6030 > what is going wrong the default values are saved in the file and not the last state of the knob values. Thanks for that. I saved the SE PD303 example as an AudioUnit, loaded it into Logic Pro demo on Mac. Loaded a preset, changed a knob, saved the project, closed the project, then reloaded the project. The preset seemed to recall OK, including the tweak I had made to it. I could hear the preset sounded the same as when I had saved it. What behaviour are you experiencing? Does it sound wrong?, or look wrong (the knob position on the graphics)? #6037 If you load a plugin and turn the knobs,. and save a song..you expect the daw opens the song and the plugin in the same state you left it behind. So open a plugin (do not open or save a preset) and turn the knobs.. save the song.. re-open the song and the knobs are reset to there default position. In this way you can not make a song and leave a plugin behind with some settings. |

Thanks Mark, Can I get a copy of the instrument please? To test. Where can I download it? #6086 Hi jeff, I looked at the pd303 sample today, and I invented the following: .. the pd303 indeed works fine with recalling the plugin state. However, I have made an FX plugin and I notice that when I load it into logic as an effect under a synth. it can indeed retrieve the plugin state after saving. But.. if I don't load a synth (so only an fx plugin on a track .. instrument or audio track) then it suddenly no longer works. So the conclusion is that it works fine as an effect plugin (as long as you add a synth to an instrument track) but you cannot load the effect separately on an audio track or an instrument track without an instrument. So there is still something wrong in the audio effect plugins section. I hope you read this :) |

#6161 Ok thanks. Jeff is working on all the Mac things so I have hope ! :) |
#6164 Nice Me too I keep getting sidetracked from SE I have been working on Reaper JS midi plugin and a Max App. I am glad there has been so many fixes to SE and sounds like later in the summer some more modules coming for MAC. I have been really getting into midi applications and plugins and would like to be able to make some midi modules for SE if midi input output can work on VST or AU or both that would be great. Looks like midi input to FX fix still midi out would rock! Thanks again Mark for finding so many MAC bugs I think it has helped get some good fixes. |
